The problem for Y and T if it can be conceived as a problem is that they made one album that stands head and shoulders above all their others and this is it, Earthshaker, their third and with a title taken from a track off their first record is one of the great hard rock albums/5(71).

Sep 02,  · As requested by many, here it it “Earthshaker” from the box-set “Y&T – Earthquake The A&M Years “, a must have remastered pack from the most brilliant era of Dave Meniketti’s band. At the very end of and almost unnoticed, there was a box-set release from one of the essential bands from the first half of the ’80s: Y&T, entitled “Earthquake: The A&M Years ”.

Puchased this CD to 'replace' the aging vinyl album that I had. The sound quality of the CD is poor. It sounds as if it has been taken from an old casette tape and not from a master. There is a lot of hiss which is a problem on some of the quieter numbers. This is one of the best Y & T recordings and it really needs to be issued in a remaster /5(26).
